What an insane month this has been so far. Way too much going on and too little time to do it. Everything has suffered. This kind of derailment can really downward spiral into a long-term disaster and I'm not willing to allow that to happen.
I spent most of my weekend taking care of things on a long To-Do list both at home and at work and I'm feeling much better about all of it.
I'm working on a plan to be able to cut back some hours at work and have time to, dare I say it, write. Apparently someone out there thinks I might actually have a book in me about this journey that I'm taking, and is willing to fund some writing time. Very cool. I hope it all works out :)
I was in touch with a producer at The Rachael Ray Show last week and she said the air date is tentatively planned sometime in early December. I'll post the actual date as soon as I know.
Look for some new features on the site in the next couple of weeks. A couple of the motivators are going to start a new page for music play lists to work out to and some new music reviews. I'm really looking forward to that. Music is essential to keeping me on the treadmill!
We're also going to add additional motivators pages soon. This really excites me. Several people at my workplace came forward and asked if they could be motivators after we'd filled the 100 spots.
We've come up with a way for those people to help motivate me and do something for a good cause at the same time. Starting December 1st, anyone at my place of work who wants to join in can make a pledge of any dollar amount of their choosing for #200. The Peas & Heather & I will each select one organization and each new motivator will get to choose where their donation will go when I reach the goal.
Right now we don't have the resources to administer a project that extends beyond our co-workers and family memebers so it's only open to them, but I hope you'll check in and see how much in pledges we can raise over the next several months. This will definitely motivate me :)
We're also going to be introducing a VTLD forum soon and the guestbook and blog will actually be absorbed by that format. We're hoping that it encourages more "audience participation" (I know you guys are out there, I see the site hits every day LOL) and puts everything in one convenient place.
Libby and Paula have agreed to moderate that forum and I'm still hoping I can talk Jenny into it as well.
Lots of good stuff coming! Looking forward to it!
Warmest regards,
Pamela
